St Louis University Radio

I just came across this and haven't seen it discussed here.

St. Louis radio announcer feuds with referee live on air (VIDEO)

Is this a case of "rabbit ears", or appropriate? Not knowing what transpired leading up to this, i think it is hard to say, but i have a hard time imagining any situation where i would engage in a dialog with a member of the working media.

What does he mean by "Trying to get into our broadcast."

How would an official get in their broadcast?

Peace

Announcer probably said something asinine and got pissy when the ref called him on it.

No video. Maybe it was a stupid foul and the announcer doesn't know the difference. Maybe there was something brewing between the players, the official put a stop to it, and the announcer didn't know the difference. Maybe the school he broadcasts for was getting beat fairly badly, and the soouncer didn;t know the difference. I don't think I would interact with the announcer, but perhaps he said something off air to the official. Not enough information.

I saw this story elsewhere. From what I gathered, the radio announcer commented that the call was "weak" or along those lines. The (calling) official hear the comment and addressed the announcer.

I'd like to know what would have to happen for such a person to receive a warning.
