Indiana MSU, travel city

12:34 left in the second half, Zeller draws a block, then travels, shoots, and they count the basket. This has got to be called on the floor. What do you say?

I agree, it should be called on the floor. I sure don't want it called in the pressbox or in the stands! ;)

Get "on the floor" out of your vocabulary. A player can be on the floor and still in the act of shooting.

Ok, I don't think this was a shooting foul. :). DOWN!

I haven't called a foul "on the floor" since shortly after my last "over the back" call. That's roughly the same time frame as my last "reaching" foul.

Maybe one of those really smart moderator guys can post the video when it's available.

I used the same line last time a partner asked me if we were going to say "purple" or "blue."

"I haven't used 'purple' since the last time I called 'over the back.'"

I would have called a PC foul. The defender's actions were legal.

... and about the same time that I last reminded kids along the lane lines to, "Let it hit the rim".

Ive go the video of that call, how do I post it on here?

KevinP Wed Feb 20, 2013 08:29am

The ref came out with a block call and then changed it to PC.

I already posted the play in the thread Indiana v. Michigan...he didn't change the call. He counted the basket.

No, he was signaling to count the basket, not changing to a PC.
