Which Shot is Taken First?

Need To know if I made the correct call.

Team A is in the bonus. A1 dribbling is fouled by B1. (A1 should be shooting 1 and 1). As the foul is being called on B1, A1 rushes him and curses. A1 is given a technical. The Technical gives A1 his 5th foul.

Question: Does the 1 and 1 take place before or after the technical?
Since A1 got fouled, but is now fouled out, who shoots the 1 and 1.

Please advise

Thanks
Coach Lou

Free throws are shot in order of the corresponding fouls.

So the 1-and-1 would be shot first then the Technical free throws.

A1 would be disqualified, therefore his substitute would have to the shoot the 1-and-1.

Enforce fouls in order. A1 is disqualified and may not shoot his FT's.

His sub will shoot the 1-and-1 with the lane cleared. Then to the other end to shoot 2. Then B throw-in at the division line.

What did he (or she) want to do? Just curious.

The other official said that since A1 was fouled out, the 1 and 1 shot should not be taken. I thought that to be ridiculous.

Well that's a new one.

NCAA is different

If you're playing under NCAA rules, first shoot the FTs for the T with the lanes cleared. Then go back to POI, which is the 1-1. A1's substitute shoots, with players lined up in the lane spaces and play resuming as after any normal 1-1. (edited for clarification)

OK So now I've gotten different answers. if, the 1 and 1 call came first, shouldn't those shots be taken first? Please advise

In FED (high school) games, the foul shots are taken in the order the fouls occured.

Lotto posted the NCAA rule in this situation (hence the "NCAA is different" post title.

Everyone else is talking about the FED rule.

Use whichever applies to your game. (FED, most likely)

You got two different answers because some people gave you the NCAA ruling while others gave you the NFHS ruling. Both answers were correct depending on which rule set you are using at the time. To summarize, NFHS penalize in the order the fouls occurred. In NCAA-M most technicals are penalized at POI.
