Sad day....

Well I just recieved my last assignments here in Montana. I can only imagine what people assume about basketball in this state but I will tell you it was the best experience I have had yet. Oh well, the military has decided it is time for me to start over...once again! lol...but I look forward to Flroida and I am sure it has alot to offer.

Moral of the story...be thankful for what you are experiencing because it all could change tomorrow!

While I'm usually glad to see football season come to an end, I've never felt that way about basketball.

Welcome. We've got room for about 11 more transplants before we break off and float away so you should be fine. Don't forget your SPF 10000 sunscreen.

I can tell you that Florida is a football state...but there is still some pretty good roundball played here. Which area of Florida are you heading to?

I am headed to Panama City area. I have e-mailed all the POCs listed on FSHAA website for that area but no responses. Any connections in the area?

Retired MSgt, 22 years. Just finishing my 8th of civil service. First game I ever officiated was a base intra-mural game.

Had a cousin who was Security Forces at Malstrom. She didn't have a good experience. Sounds like you are headed to Eglin or Hurlburt Field.

Tyndall actually. Going to be the Career Field Manager. The security forces troops here hate it and I can't blame them...I wouldn't want to work in the missle field either. RED HORSE myself.

CE CFM? I think my friend's wife currently sits in that position. I'll send you a PM with her name to see if it is the same person.

I'm actually closer to Central FL. We're in the midst of playoffs so I'm guessing the POCs you wrote to are pretty busy right now. Give it another week or two and try again. The way it works is that you have to get registered with a local association then register with the state. Pretty easy once you find the right contact locally.

Panama City...not a bad place to be during spring break!

I'm a MSgt and have been in 22 yrs......was stationed at Malmstrom for 9 years and now I'm at Hill in Utah. And i worked the missile field as a maintenance guy, so i know exactly how the poor cops feel.

BadNewsRef, depending on when you were there, you might have ref'd a few games i played in. I was there from '94 to 2003.
