Nope. I was just being a wise-***. Second, it wasnt that big of a game. Finally, the center is a friend of mine, I tell him the same thing to his face all the time.

I fixed it. 3 officials and NONE of them call that travel. Trail doesn't even appear to be watching the game. This is not a good clip for officiating.

What do you guys think about the travel on the 3 pointer?

I couldn't watch it with the sound up very loud, but the C comes in like an official normally would after a whistle is blown. He relaxes and starts to walk towards the lane like something is going on. Just weird.

It is to the players and coaches involved. This is one of the complaints that I hear from coaches off the court and not just in basketball: That we aren't really invested like they are. Now I know that's horse manure for the most part, but statements like that give validation to that claim.

Maybe I'm being too permissive, but I don't see one.

Zm, the statement was made in the context of Nevadaref implying it is some huge matchup that people would be begging the assignor to be working, not that it isnt important to either of the teams playing or the officials assigned. However, I think it is naive for coaches, players, or officials to not recognize that some games are bigger or more high profile than others. I find it hard to believe those same coaches complaining to you do not have games on their schedule every year that they feel are more important than others.

Bingo. Not only did all the players stop playing, but the Center official is starting to switch! Stop the play, to prevent something stupid from happening and give a throw-in to the team in control.

This seems to me like one of those times when officials indicate the wrong number of free throws. Everybody stops playing except the one kids who knows it's only one shot. He steps in and puts back an uncontested lay-up. In that case, we disallow the extended play and resume with a throw-in. I think this is the same thing. Everybody (including at least one official) thought the ball was dead, and yet they allowed one kid to make an uncontested play.

Kill it, and re-start with a throw-in to the team that had control. Forget about the travel completely.
