Ohio state v Mich travling

Step back move to get behind 3 pt line. I saw him pick up ball with pivot foot established. Step back behind 3 ball still hand jumps and hit the shot

How come no travel?

With no video it's kinda hard to answer that question.

You really didn't give a detailed description of what the player did.

When he jumped back, did he land on both feet simultaneously?
