How I didn't bite off more than I can chew.

Friday night I have a JV/V boys double header starting at 6:00 pm about 1 hour from home. Sat morning I have 2 JV Tourny games starting at 9:00am about 1 hour from my home in the opposite direction. I received a call that they need refs in my home town starting at 4:00pm for some 6th and 7th grade games. I couldn't turn down the $30 per game for these so know I have the last 5 of them. I am working everyone of these with the same partner who is also my mentor so I should have ample time to learn and improve. Wish me luck.

Couldn't? Sure you could. (But, I know what you mean.)

At my age, that's too many games in a short period of time anymore and I wouldn't be as good for those last few games on Sat. So, I would do a smaller set and COULD turn down a few.

Luck.

I'm going to have 55 games worked in January. I understand the inability to turn down games!

Two hours of driving for $60? Do they let you plug your car in during the games

Sorry I should have been clearer. The friday night games will pay $100 plus milage. Sat JV games will be $90 plus milage. It is the 5 sat night that are $30 a piece 0.3 miles from my house.

Go for it. I average 12-15 games per week. I like the exercise though. In addition I play ball 3 nights per week and am training for a marathon which requires me to run an additional 30 miles per week.....I rarely break a sweat officiating.

I was mad 2 weeks ago when I realized I had to work 7 games in 7 days. Luckily weather knocked out day #5.

Twelve games in fourteen days for me. I've got a few days off this week to clean the house, and pay some attention to the cat, and my two hens. I might even have time to call my Mom, and my three kids.

I've got ten games over the next five days (includes inclement weather make-ups).
