Syracuse Dunk vs. Louisvile
At the 00:23 mark of the 2nd half Syracuse player dunks the ball to put the Orangemen up and then lands with a belly flop. No foul called on the play.
Can we get a video clip of the play? Watching it on plays of the day on TV it looks like he was hit in the head by B1 during the dunk. |

The replay has the L signaling a foul and the player at the line.

He did stick his fist up in the air and pull it down awfully fast. |
I think the C's gotta get something there if it exists. The L can't see the contact from behind and would be completely guessing.
Funny enough, my partner grabbed one exactly like this on Friday night in a 2-person HS game. Breakaway, 2-handed dunk, hit to the back of the head -- I would've been guessing and I wasn't sure if there was a hit -- I'm so glad he was an active trail who followed the play and was willing to come in and get that foul. |

Jeff: I agree with you, :D. While the L can get this (not maybe this one because the foul was from the backside of the play), this particular play is the type of play that the C is meant to get. MTD. Sr. |

BNR - you know better!!!!!!

THis is a BE game......you know enough people in the area to know that in the BE they don't fish in other ponds, ball in basket = play on. Not sayin it is right. Guarantee you in Big South there would have been a DW......personally I have a no call... But what do I know... |
I do not think this was a BE issue at all. I think this was a play where it was probably thought there was little contact or the contact that took place did not cause the falling. I had to see it several times to even think that a foul should be called because it looked like if he hung on the rim he would not have fell. Not saying that is right, but in live action I can see the hesitation.
