Bonus on off ball offensive foul

Long time reader first time poster...

Team A is on offense has 8 team fouls. Team A sets a moving screen on Team B. Does team B shoot?

Are off ball offensive fouls rewarded with shots.

I'm having a huge brain fart this morning!

Off ball offensive fouls are Team Control fouls.

On ball offensive fouls are Player Control fouls, which are also Team Control fouls.

No.

However, up until about 5-6 years ago, they were. There was a change that removed the foul shots on all team control fouls.

Not all offensive fouls (no definition BTW) are treated the same.

It does matter if it is a TC foul or a PC foul BTW. And those would not result in FT being shot. And usually an illegal screen (but not always) would be a TC foul.

And off ball foul could be not in a TC situation like a rebounding foul.

Peace

Had a coach argue with me on this very situation on Friday night. Anyone have a reference on the change?

Every single player control foul is a team control foul? Are you certain?

You have an exception?

Not every personal foul against the offense is a player control/team control foul. But I cannot not think of a PC foul that is not also a TC foul.

Foul by an airborne shooter after he/she has released the ball

If A1 has possession of the ball and commits a player control foul it is a TC foul.

After A1 releases the ball, technically, it is no longer "on ball" :D

True, and that addresses the language of the OP, but that's not what you said:

People who have Latin quotes and Greek philosophers in their profile don't understand smilies. :p
