When you blow an IW, you go POI:

1. Throw in for team in control, if any, and if not then
2. Free throws or throw-in, if that's what was interrupted, and otherwise
3. AP throw-in

Option 3 is your last resort.

POI ≠ AP. :)

Arguably, maybe, but there are several situations that don't involve team control or occur during a TI or FT that don't go to the arrow. A shot in flight that goes in, a DB double technical....
