Poi

Throw in on end line. Ref gives the ball to thrower in. Count starts. At the time the thrower in attempts to release the ball to his teammate as he breaks free for the long pass right at division line. D grabs him to slow him down. . Foul called. Where is throw in? Back at end line or where foul occurred?

Where the foul occured.

Of course, that's after you consider the INT foul.

In FIBA, this is an UNS foul if in the last 2 minutes of reg/ot.

This is not a situation where you use the point of interruption.

I was going to say that. This is a question of the proper throw-in spot for a foul.

The proper throw-in spot for a foul/violation might be the point of interruption, but usually that's just a happy coincidence.

Any Exceptions ???

Double foul is always point of interruption. (I'm working without a net here guys, with no books, here at work.)

You mean like you have no net when you are on the court?

Oh, I thought he was asking about Poi.

Yep, this thread confirms it. Definitely a young, inexperienced official. I'd guess two years experience or less.

Nothing wrong with that, as long as you understnad when you have a learning opportunity, as opposed to pushing a bad opinion on a topic just because you want/think you're right.
