Xmas Comes Early
 

Xmas came early for me...Worked a Boys JV Tourney Championship with a state finals official who also does D1 womens...and boy what a gift.

My Takeaway was that a top official is VERY CONSISTENT[U] with[U] game management, situational awareness and clear and crisp communication.

Your Thoughts about what you have seen in Top Tier Officials.

I completely agree with you. I always enjoy working with our local top tier officials as well.

I would add also, that when I have had the chance to work with a top tier college official or a top tier state official that they do an awesome job of making you feel relaxed and part of the crew instead of trying to run the entire game.

I enjoy a thorough, interactive pre-game and good constructive criticism on ways to improve my game.

I also like to observe them on the court - their demeanor, the way they talk to coaches and players, their interaction with the table, how they move and report, etc.

I have been fortunate to work with some great, experienced P's and hopefully, I take a little bit from each.
