Overtime Team Direction

Went to OT. Lined them up correctly for jump, but then my partner and I brain-farted. It was about the 2nd trip down the floor when I realized the teams were going the wrong way. It was 2 trips down the floor AFTER my realization when a coach said something to me during a dead ball. (this was literally MY FIRST GAME EVER. Sophomore Boys)
I explained it was too late, we already started the OT period. Nothing more came of it (thank goodness) and the game ended. In the locker room, an evaluator showed up and asked us "what the heck happened?" My partner and I explained that we just plain screwed up. Evaluator said we could have talked to the coaches as soon as we recognized the error, and if they both agreed, we could (AND SHOULD) have switched team baskets. Just an FYI if this hasn't happened to you (yet). lol.

Even if the coaches don't agree, swith the teams around as soon as (well, maybe not literally) you figure it out.

Don't ask the coaches. Just fix it.

Unfortunate that your evaluator is incorrect about the high school rule.
As others have said you stop play when you realize that the teams are going the wrong directions and correct it. The coaches don't get any say in this. It is a matter of rule. Check your Case Book and find 5.2.1 Sit F.

Fix it. All points scored prior to the fix count.
