Breakaway Neck Referee Lanyard or NBA Style Noose Referee Lanyard?

I normally use the lanyard that clips on the shirt but I want one that goes around my neck to keep in my bag as I think one day that hook is going to rip off my shirt and just to have a spare in case a partner needs one. Any opinion on which style to buy?

Personal preference.
Buy various styles and try 'em all.
Or go to a bunch of camps and get them for free and use 'em the season after.
Just use one. :o

I use the noose. Both will serve the purpose you are needing it for.

But they're $2.50 a piece. :D

I prefer the noose style but use the breakaway too at times. I like the breakaway more in football. All personal preference and there is not right or wrong.

Get the best of both worlds, get a breakaway noose lanyard =)

Just do away with the lanyard all together! ;)

Get a PTS compatible lanyard, just in case, while you are at it.

If God had intended us not to use lanyards he would not have provided us with necks. :p

Anything to wearing the same your partners do? Big deal at HS level?

I'm sure PTS will be implemented into HS next year, I'll be sure to go ahead and get one now. :D

I suppose I'll splurge and get both lanyard types and try them. I may even come to prefer one of them. :)

I use a smitty, and have a backup noose in my pocket.

I use just the whistle.

Once in awhile I break out the Mike Mathis mechanics. :p
