Initial Tip Goes Deep . . .

Anybody else pre-game it like this for when the initial tapped jump ball goes deep to the team going the other way?

For example, U1 covers endline when ball is tipped deep to his right with initial player control going to the team whose basket is on the other end, so...R backs up to become C in the developing transition upcourt, and ...U2 heads to his right toward his endline, crosses to the other side of the lane, becoming the new L.

Or is there another way some of you have for this situation?

(Seems to happen about 1 of every 8 games--therefore, worth pregaming to our crew)

The method you described is full of common sense.

Good if the tip is deep AND there's enough pressure so U1 needs to go back there to officiate.

I don't think that happens in 1 out of 8 of my games.
