I've Definitely Been Officiating Too Long ...

I took the photo below at my environmental laboratory. This was not staged. One of my colleagues, for some reason, put a 50 mL conical plastic vial on top of a plastic funnel. I spotted it, and immediately thought of something from the "world of basketball officiating".

Any guesses as to what I was thinking of?

I would challenge the fact that I was the first to answer correctly, but I guess veiled pre-disco era references don't count for squat with the younger audience here. :o

The judges have reconsidered. Freddy has been declared the winner and gets to pick a prize from the top shelf. referee99 must return his prize. Sorry referee99, you're a day late (actually only one hour late), and a dime short.

I wanted to give the condom reference immediately, but thought it was neccessary to take the high road and Billy Mac doesn't come off as someone who would put a picture of a condom online...........

Oh what a surprise. I never expected it. I'd like to thank my mother and father, and my assignors, and those who've mentored me, and Coach Dobberstein who taught me to love the game, and . . .
