Cliff Kean National Alliance

Hello,

My association is now involved with the Cliff Kean National Alliance program to purchase gear.

Just checking to see if anyone has used this program to purchase gear and if the prices were better than getting from other suppliers.

Thanks!

I know nothing about the program. What is the benefit of the program?

Peace

We already get discounts for equipment or gear here at camps and we can buy whatever product we want with a discount. I do not see why an association would hitch their wagon to Cliff Keen unless you only wanted to buy shirts from them?

Peace

The 5% kickback to the organization appears the be the main reason an organization would do it.

I guess I would rather take the benefits to the association membership than whether we get a little extra money to the association. Then again that is me.

Peace

There are a lot of companies that do backroom deals like that to get organizations to steer their members to them or, in some cases, require their members to use them. A lot of organizations sign up for them even if that company doesn't offer the best deals for their members.
