Heat/Celtics Game 4 Request

APG, if you're still taking requests, there's a lot that could be taken from this game, but how about....

*4:26 left in the 2nd, no-call
*5:32 left in the 4th, double foul

Thanks for all that you do, sir.

Haven't forgotten about this request...just haven't had the time to clip the plays...

Lots of interesting plays in that last few minutes. Although, I don't need video to tell me that double foul should have been an offensive foul. Greg Willard's an awesome official, but I thought he got snowed on that one.

Bill Kennedy was the official who called the double foul...anyhow, here are the two plays requested:

It might be asking much, but can you show the plays where LBJ 6th foul in the 4th Quarter. Sorry I do not have the time, but these plays have been shown many times. I just want a copy of these videos for training purposes.

Peace

Did you mean you wanted LeBron's last foul that occurred in overtime?

On the Dwyane Wade block play, does Paul Pierce travel? I've got him lifting his pivot foot, and then returning it to the floor before the ball is released, and before the ball was blocked by Wade.

Per NFHS/NCAA rule sets he travelled.

Per NBA rules a player is allowed two steps AFTER gathering the ball. In this play, Paul Pierce gathers the ball with his right foot on the floor. He then next steps with his left foot (step 1), then steps with his right foot (step 2) making the left foot the pivot. Paul has picked up the pivot foot but releases the ball for a field goal attempt prior to the pivot foot being returned to the floor.

Per NFHS/NCAA rules, this would be a travel.

Foul on wade, did not maintain verticality imo;
thought the double foul was weak, should have been a no-call, Garnett was not the primary reason LBJ ended up on the ground, gravity was;
offensive foul on LBJ, thought this was a great call.

Why, what did LBJ do?

Apologize for nothing, sir. This is a hell of a service you provide.

Lyndon Johnson fouled out from the grave? That's pretty severe.

The defender had established his position on the floor and James removed him from it by contact. What are you suggesting is the right call? I don't see how it could be a foul on the defender, and a no-call doesn't look appropriate to me either.

From the angles I saw Petrius wrapped LBJ and pulled him down. Maybe it looked different from Joey C's angle.

Looks more like James grabs and then pins Petrius' arm to his (James) side and then tries to back him down quickly, imo.

Even if they weren't I don't think it would have affected his status for tonight.

tmagan Wed Jun 06, 2012 08:45pm

It looks like the alternate official is being used tonight as I don't see Greg Willard.
