Celtics/Hawks: Marquis Daniels's last foul
For those who saw the closing seconds of Game 6 of the Atlanta/Boston series, who dares to have an intentional foul (at any level) on Marquis Daniels in the closing seconds?
(APG... is video possible?)

And I wouldn't have anything other than a foul (if we're talking about NFHS/NCAA rules). Depending on when the official decided the contact was illegal, this very well could have been an away-from-the-play foul. It was close, and if in doubt, I think the right thing is to rule this a common foul. *EDIT* Play added at post 11:

Basic common foul in NFHS and NCAA.
The biggest thing I noticed was the horrible screen Smith set on Pierce at the top of the key at the beginning of the play. It knocked Pierce into a path about 4-5 feet farther around than he would have had to go without the screen moving into his path and continuing to move after contact. Looks like, from the angle of the heads, that neither the C nor the T were looking at it. The T was looking at the play on his corner of the FT lane and the C was looking at another matchup near the middle of the FT line. The only possible reason to not call it, if they did actually see it, is that it was going away from the ball and there was no immediate play that was going to develop from it.

Common foul in Fed.
This is an unsportmanlike foul in FIBA. It's under 2 minutes in the 4th, and the thrower-in hasn't released the ball yet. 2 shots + ball at DL.

Thanks, APG, but this isn't the foul I had in mind. I believe it's the one right after it, where there's pretty close to a bear hug during an attempted layup.

I think by definition you could find an intentional foul there but I'm not sure my assigners would support making that one.

Perhaps that's the more important question, then.

Interesting...in a HS game, my assignor would be furious if we didn't call the Intentional on this. NCAA - probably would not want the Int., but would support it if it was called.

I think I could be supported either way at any level and with any assignor.

Two Shots Plus The Ball Spot Closest to Foul (NFHS) ...
In my high school game, I would charge an intentional foul for this play.
