Only the French could think up this sport.

While reading the news online I came across this adaptation of basketball:

Here's why unicycle basketball isn't the greatest idea

Now Mark Padgett has something else to do in the off season when there isn't a croquet match to officiate.

Just Point To The Lead Jammer ...

Nothing on television the past few nights. I ended up watching Flat Track Roller Derby on our local public television station. We actually have two teams here in Connecticut. I wonder if they need any officials? Might be a good gig to meet hot, single, chicks?

Last summer, we had a family picnic. Two of my grandsons, who were both 11 at the time, had a silly face contest. I officiated. They each made three silly faces and I ruled it was a tie. We then had a one face overtime and it was still a tie. They each got an extra share of ice cream. It was the best sporting event I ever officiated.

Here you go Mark Padgett. This may be just the thing for you to do when you're not officiating basketball:

Thanks, Sr. Great video!

Article is funny too!!

"No, it doesn't have all the jumping and dunking -- you know, the things that make basketball fun...."

Any particular reason you folks are so bigoted against the French? Or is this just 'good natured ribbing' against them?

JRutledge Sun Apr 15, 2012 01:59pm

I think he traveled on the play to the basket. :)

Peace

They gave us a statue and we bailed them out of a few world wars. We're even.

Um, I think they did a bit more than give you a statue. But I know what you mean.

You mean when the French Navy finally showed up to keep Lord Cornwallis from escaping from Yorktown.

Not long ago I saw a World War II French Army rifle on sale on eBay; it have never been used and only dropped once. :p

I am not a amateur WW2 historian (I am an amateurish WW2 historian) but my favorite ready is the history of WW2, and the French underground should be commended for its actions during The War, but in many aspects when it comes to the French nation, during WW2, really owes it survival to the Anglo-American Alliance (USA, Great Britain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand), and the Dutch and Polish governments in exile.

You let a contest get to overtime? What have you done with the real Padgett?
