Reebok Zig Energy (Does anyone know)

I hope that everyone had a great year.
Now that our season is over and camps, clinics and summer leagues will soon begin has anyone heard or know if Reebok is going to continue this shoe? I can't find it anywhere on their Web site and many of the venders are still out of stock. I wish it had better ventilation, but they made my legs recover faster. I like this shoe :)
Thanks in advance.

i hope they do. I had chronic achilles/ankle pain after football season, and had to do something. I tried the reebok zig energy ref, and loved it. have you tried eastbay? that's where i got mine...all else were out of stock.

grunewar Fri Apr 06, 2012 04:02pm

You'd think the reason we can't find them is that they're sold out everywhere (which they appeared to be very early in the season). Which would of course prompt them to make more next yr.......but, ya never know!

footlocker has them online:

Reebok ZigActivate - Men's - Running - Shoes - Black

Here's the shiny black one - size 8 only....

IOW all sold out. I think April was the announced date to have more of the patent leathers. Several mesh styles are currently avail. at Footlocker, champs and reebok online. They have the air movement you won't get from the shiny black ones, but you won't get a shine either.

I wore my new pair last night at an "all star" game in my state. I loved these shoes. I have (and still wear) Nike Shox and Air Max's and these are the most comfortable of the 3. I highly recommend them for anyone sitting on the fence!

Scuba_ref Wed Jul 25, 2012 02:18pm

yup

I bought my second pair this year for $100. The first pair was only $70 last year. If you guys would quite going on about these shoes and driving up the demand then maybe they will come back down in price!

I've had 'em for a year. Would pay twice that much for the comfort and lack of knee and ankle pain. But if you insist, I hereby quite going on about these shoes . . . :D

I'm seriously thinking of giving them a try for the upcoming season. But first due to the size difference, I've purchased a pair of the Zig Energy running shoes to try out the brand. They run small compared to NB. I wear a size 10 in my NB's, but I got a pair of size 11's in the Reeboks. So far so good.

Having a Varsity official work at a sports store and giving us his discount helps a ton!

How financially creative do you feel? Make yourself a middleman and you'd probably make a chunk of change from the regular people on this forum. Heck, I'll buy another pair from you for, say, 70.00. Might be the easiest 10.00 you'd ever make.
Of course, there's probably some sort of forum rule against such a thing.

My guess is that the friend's discount might go away in a very unsatisfactory way if it becomes apparent that it is being abused by passing it along to several people. Most employee discounts have terms on who it can be used for...usually immediate family. Beyond that, it can become grounds for termination.

Yep, and buying 15 pair of the same shoes, in 7 different sizes, would be a huge red flag.

I'll do it .... send me the $70 and I promise to go buy and ship you your shoes. Actually, might be the easiest $70 I'll ever make.

While I can see where you're going, I see two things wrong with this thought process:

1) No mention of a HOT mom, and 2) Mark wouldn't claim to be from Pittsburgh, PA! ;)

Get well Mark!

Called them this morning. Got the shoes for $85, added a couple of whistles for $5 each.

Honig's wanted $100 for the same shoes.

grunewar Thu Nov 01, 2012 11:23am

I haven't broken out my new one's yet, as last year's version are holding up just fine! Good to have the new one's on the shelf though! ;)
