With the college season now over...

Here's the very first "One Shining Moment" from 25 years ago...

(Skip to 1:43 to bypass CBS's closing credits)

Wow, Tark "the Shark", Bobby Cremins, Bob Knight and Dean Smith sightings....I'm certainly showing my age easily recognizing them and more!

Bobby Knight slamming his fist at the scorer's table in the game vs. Duke and not getting penalized. Coach K took a big exception to that.

Maybe one of the best ever, but not the best ever. My choice: 1985, Villanova upsets Georgetown, 66 to 64, at Rupp Arena.

Thumbs up

I think the best one ever was the December 1898 match between Kansas and Missouri. Kansas won 4-2. In those days, a two point victory was considered a rout.

That happened in the regional final vs LSU and it was Dale Brown(LSU Coach) who blew a gasket

If it was coach K he would have had a lot of nerve. An Indiana player didn't get away with stomping someone in the chest!

I was a huge fan of that Georgetown team. Even though they didn't win, that is still one of the best college teams of all time (they won it the year before that). Oh, and Villanova's PG (McClain I think) was pumped up on the white stuff. With a shot clock, that upset never happens.

I'm going to make a comment about something I have been wondering for a while now and about two seconds of this video reminded me of. I hope it doesn't offend anyone. Remember when cheerleaders were all (or mostly) cute? Not so anymore.

Time's up! The correct answer is 1985. Enjoy your Rice-A-Roni.
