NC tech no-call on Robinson
Did anyone else notice the incident in the second half where Robinson grabbed the ball after a no-call and jammed the ball into the ref's belly and said something? The ref came charging after him like he was going to T him up but didn't. I didn't catch the time stamp on the play, but I was really surprised he got away with it.

I remember the outside official rapidly closing down on the player, but didnt see what he did. I thought he said something to an opponent.
I think in this setting the boss wants them to manage questionable unsporting situations by talking first & whacking as a last resort. Everyone in the world is watching & technical fouls definitely detract from the product they're pushing. |
When was this?

2nd half cant recall the time, but the opposite table T (or C) defined moving with a purpose!

To say the official charged after the player is misleading. He took a step or two in the direction of the player.
This is nothing in my book. |

Yeah he may not have "charged" over there, but he definitely moved quicker than an accelerated L rotation.

tref, you and I may be talking about different plays. the one I'm talking about there was a no call on a shot robinson took and the ball went out of bounds back to UK. The L was standing on the end line pointing towards UK and as they are going to a TV timeout, robinson gathers the ball and stuffs it in the L's belly as he walks to the bench. This was definitely in the second half.

I think its the same play, the official opposite the table is the one who briskly walked the player down?

The actions did not constitute anything that was personal in nature. Robinson did not stare the guy down, didn't look back, didn't MF him (pretty sure), didn't even make him flinch. He was leading an emotional comeback and was not out of control.
This is not the NBA |

If the play happened as you described, it wouldn't be a T at any level. |

(Side note, I hate when announcers always refer to emotions of the players (usually when a player gets a T)...as if players can't control themselves at all) |
I don't remember the time but I do remember Robinson aggressively handing/pushing the ball at the official's midsection.
Something I probably wouldn't T, but I definitely would have addressed the player, and I wouldn't have done it subtly. |
