Looks like a missed call to me. Never got three points over.

Not a good angle for the C.

I agree the majority of the players appeared to be at the FTL extended. Hustle to your position and initial a rotation if/when dictated (i.e trapping situation).

I agree there was no backcourt violation based on the three-points rule, however, he did appear to carry the ball right at that time.

Being near the division line isn't a major problem. Remember, the C is supposed to follow the second wave of players up the court. The key is he wasn't following the ball, he was ahead of it. If he's equal to it or behind that whistle probably doesn't happen.

BTW, if I'd let the video go longer you would've heard the coach of Montverde yelling "the ball never got into frontcourt!" after the ensuing throw-in.

I'm not to hot with a carry in that spot. A1's dribble looked pretty good to me.

It's possible that he called a carry but the coach thought it was a BC violation. Both would be the wrong call, IMO, but a carry isn't as inexcusable as the C making an incorrect BC violation call.

There's nothing there except an incorrect call...I'm also betting the official called a backcourt violation rather than palming.

The next to last dribble was most definitely palming. But the official was most definitely calling a BC violation, which it wasn't.

As for the palming, if it was that, then call that. Personally, I'd leave it alone and talk to the player (if it was his first time).
