Feinstein is at it again..........no flow to the game, too many interruptions.

Feinstein and the others who will complain about the overall officiating of this game don't seem to get it....this is how the officials were/are told to call the game. (btw NCAA Coord. of Officials John Adams was at the game)

Question: if the officials are calling the "nickle and dimers" (as Bill Raftery puts it) from the beginning of the game, how long do you think it should take the players/coaches to realize it and adjust?

When you continue to touch the hot stove and burn your hand, it's not the stove's fault....IT'S YOUR FAULT!!!!!!!

I always blame the stove.

Not only that Syracuse coach was over the Coach's Association and in the NCAA Video, Boeheim was telling the officials in an official statement from that group to call the game no matter the time of the game or the situation.

The officiating has been horrifically inconsistent from game to game in this tournament. Many games are extremely physical with little being called. This game was called correctly, and as Adams has directed. The problem is, why are many of the others not being called this way?

I beileve the product has gotten worse on Adams' watch, and the perception is even worse than that because he preaches absolutes without much corresponding consequence.

I havent seen every game, does anyone else share this opinion?

This is my two cents worth but I think it's the other way around. The Syracuse-Ohio State was called too tightly. John Higgins and Tom O'Neill had a few calls where the contact was minimal I felt. Not that John Feinstein is an expert on officiating by any means, but I agree that some calls in that game were head scratchers.

I thought that yesterday's crew in the UNC-Kansas game let them play more and the product was better. I thought that Tony Greene, Doug Shows and James Breeding called a very good game.

I have found myself reacting negatively to more calls this year than in the past. But this is also my first NCAA tournament with DVR and a big screen HD television.

2 biggest trouble spots for me personally in watching has been consistency on block/charges around the basket and a lack of RSBQ calls on ball-handlers between the division line and 3-point arc.

...were very inconsistent and allowed the team that was most physical (beyond the interpretation of the rules) to get the advantage. Baylor played like a football team against Xavier, and there were a lot of no-calls on some pretty severe contact.
