My friend and I developed a mechanic to use locally in games with similar rules.

When a team gets within 1 possession of the no-press spread, so signal with our palms pressed, to show that we both have the press still being legal. Once the spread hits at or beyond the established threshold, our palms are outstretched to show maximum distance between the two, showing that the team winning must "give halfcourt".
