Huge upset in state quarterfinals ends 57 game streak - not kidding!
 

Those of you here in the Pacific Northwest are familiar with the Oregon City girls team. Not only is it usually ranked right at the top state-wide, but also nationally and has been for many years. They've beaten conference rival West Linn 57 games in a row going back to 1985 including both of their conference games this season (by 22 and 32 points), but that streak ended last night!

The Lions overcame a 10 point fourth quarter deficit to beat the Pioneers 49-43 in a 6A quarterfinal game at the Rose Garden. West Linn forced 22 turnovers and held OC to a season low for points. They gave up 88 points to them in one of their conference games earlier this season. With the game really close near the end, Oregon City committed two turnovers in the final minute, which is really out of character for them.

Congrats to West Linn. Now they move on to the semi-finals.
