Boy its buzzer beaters galore this week-here's a disputed one from Canada that I found on Yahoo's Prep Rally!

So the fans come on to the court celebrating their team's victory, as the L is waving it off the basket (although meekly) ..........pause..........announcer states basket counts. Depression sets in for all those fans. Some ending.

PS - Nice paint job on those walls. Financed by a Nike supporter? :p

I really don't think the L was waving off the basket. I think he was trying - in his own way - to tell the losing team the game was over.

Not a good move on his part to make any kind of movement with his hands in that situation.

Impossible to hear the horn here and no lights, but it looks to me like there is 9.1 seconds left on the clock after the 3 is made. By the time stamp on the video the shot is released right at 8, so shot should be good. With the noise that would be a tough call to make.

Buzzer beater or not, with this video impossible to hear the horn. As always, go with the officials on the court.

Not to be critical...

BUT, how did they advance the ball to the 28' line after the made 3?
Why is there no whistle prior to the throw-in after the timeout?

I have a serious headache now! The camera person seems to be going through heroin withdrawals. *shaky*

the video never turns off, so they must have a rule that puts that ball at the other end of the court like the NBA.

It's a video from Canada, so they may be playing under FIBA rules...FIBA allows a team to advance the ball after a timeout under two minutes in the fourth quarter/overtime...but they advance it to halfcourt rather than the 28 foot mark.

Ok, that makes sense. I like that rule!

It is actually the 28 foot mark in FIBA. Rule changed a couple of years ago.

That's why I don't consider myself an expert in FIBA rules. :D
