Resume

Hello,

Have any of you been requested to put together a resume for a camp?

Did the resume contain info about both your career and referee experience or just referee experience?

Any other pointers on what the reader is looking for in these types of resumes?

Thanks!

Never been asked to put one together. Usually on the application for the camp they ask stuff about background and how many years you have worked and what levels. I am sure that some might require this, but I would not know who does at this point.

Yes I have been asked to do that before...both officiating and "real life" stuff on the resume. Basically they just want to get the full picture of who you are, and want to know that if they hire you your career will allow you to travel for games.

The best advice is to let your on the court officiating do the talking. :)

When I've been asked to do this I put my education and current occupation but never all the jobs I've held. This is superseded by all my officiating experience

Any officiating experience and basketball related experience, i.e., playing or coaching to show knowledge of the game would be critical. Work experience can show ability to be professional, and, as some said, to show availability and ability to travel for games.
No need for fluff...Just stick to the point.
Much of this is just intended to group the campers into high, medium, and lower levels for a base....But, as Jeremy said, your officiating will do the talking in the long run.
