I have often been asked how we can ignore all those terrible comments and I always answer "We are pretty darn busy focusing on what is on the court ...; I have this part, he has that part and he has that section. What is over there ( in the stands) is seldom our concern.

I hear several things during the course of a game - we have to hear much more than we respond to. I have learned to listen for things that are funny, even if they are about me. I like to laugh too.
