Triple Overtime

Had a really GREAT game on Saturday. Boys 8th grade championship game in tournament. It went to 3 OT but it should have never went that far.

Team A is up 3 in first OT with less than 10 seconds to go as Team B on offense drive the lane, player A hammers player B. +1 and it was the kids 5th foul. Luckily Team A won and the kid didn't have to feel any worse than he already did for not winning in first OT.

I had one this season, it was the first game of a Frosh A/B girls doubleheader.

I can't tell you how happy I was that the second game had a final score of 49-1.

3.5 hours in that gym.

I had 3 OTs in one night, split between two games. We had to have 120 fouls between them, too. It was some brutal basketball, to be honest.

Ahh, now I can identify with that description! Reminds me of the first VB game this season, looked more like football than anything, practically melted my whistle from all the contact fouls I called, didn't clean the game up that much either! Thank God for 5 fouls per player!
