in many cases HS officials dont let players be as physical as they are allowed and are expected to be in college.

There is a lot more banging and there are more players similar in size so coaches need to develop their players and teach them to be more aggressive. Majerus is defensive minded and that requires being aggressive especially when rebounding.

We have all seen hs officials incorrectly penalize players for simply being tall. Not saying that this is how every game was called during his time in VA, but you know that as he was developing, so were many of the officials.
