Coach dies in Sumter wreck involving horse - Local / Metro - TheState.com

I met this coach last night for the first as I worked this game. I normally drive the route where the wreck happened, but went a different way last night.

And I am currently scheduled for the next game on Monday when these two teams meet at the coach's school. I have no clue what this game is going to feel like, if they even have the game.

Very eerie, strange feeling right now...

Prayers for this family, school, and community are more greatly appreciated.

Tragic loss of life is really sad.

Not wearing a seat belt, even sadder.

We had a 30 year old coach (football) die of a heart attack yesterday in GA at school, before school started. Tragic. Live each day, my friends. :(

Just got word from assignor that the school has cancelled the games for Monday.
