Ref said something about Iverson doing some display to the crowd.
Iverson says something like, "Wha'? Waddya mean the crowd? Ref the dang game!"

I bet the NBA wasn't happy with that exchange.

...That's entertainment.

Red face

Now Iverson will have all summer to reflect on that remark.

I thought that the only reason to watch the NBA playoffs was to see/hear these conversations that the officials are having with each other, the players, and the coaches. I think that they are very informative and instructive. I don't agree with all or even most of what is said, but I do learn from them. It is mildly disturbing that the TV is not only using the zoom microphone to record this stuff, but that they are showing it to the general public. I know that they have taped these interactions for years for league office uses. I wonder if this feature will continue in NBA games or if the league will deem it to not be the image that they want broadcast. Since these officials are full-time professionals who make great money, I for one hope they choose to continue it.

Nevadaref,
Well, Sportcenter cut out the part where the ref talked about not making a certain call in front of all "these people".
I thought the official had made a major faux pas.
So maybe there is some influence being peddaled,
mick
