Marshall vs. UCF Flagrant Foul

Quote:

Marshall coach Tom Herrion’s flop after collision with UCF player Isaiah Sykes earns national attention – Knights Notepad – Orlando Sentinel

College basketball officials are allowed to review video of potential flagrant fouls. After Herrion’s loud complaints and dramatic performance, the officials spent about 15 minutes reviewing all angles of the collision. The refs finally called a flagrant foul on Sykes, and Marshal hit one of two freethrows.

Official Rick Hartzell said no one forced Sykes to move out of bounds to collide with Herrion, but Hartzell also said the contact was “incidental.” As a result, Sykes was not ejected from the game

Funky tune. Bit of acting going on perhaps? I'm surprised he didn't crawl onto the floor and tug on an official's pant leg.

Now I get the Sanford and Son music.

"Elizabeth, this is the big one. I'm coming to join you honey."

Just awful. I hope Hartzell had a better view that showed *something*.

Just want to make sure that I understand this correctly, they called a foul on Sykes for "colliding" with the coach? Didnt know that was possible.

I believe it was for an "elbow."

According to the article, they spent 15 minutes looking for an angle...I sure hope they got a proper angle.
