I go closer to the table than normal for DOG reporting (Normally I go just inside the reporting area). This lets me take care of the coach notification by looking at him/her and reminding them the next delay is a technical.

In my games here is what I write for a delay of game warning-
Example-A#22 is called for a delay of game warning for breaching the plane on an inbounds play @ 2:25 in the 3'rd quarter. Over the team A side in the book-above the running score DOG-Q3-2:25-Plane |

Technically we "report" to the table, I dont "report" to coaches.
I'm learning that when we tell the story to the table/coach/players, if we provide details the first time, then we dont have the table/coaches/players asking for additional information.
