Technical Foul before Jump Ball

Just want to make sure I have this correct.

A1 is a designated starter

During warm-ups, B3 is charged with a technical foul.

Team A's coach wants A5, who isn't a designated starter, to shoot the free throws.

A5 replaces A1 as a designated starter (allowed per 3-2-2a). A1 isn't allowed to enter the game until time has come off the clock.

Correct, incorrect, missing anything, or way off base?

Any Other Exceptions ???

There's also an exception for an injury.

Thanks, NV. I knew it was in the Case somewhere... just have kept reading - I wasn't too far off.
