re-fresher

team red with the ball in the front court takes a 3-point attempt,
ball hits top of ring and bounces high, team red center slaps the
ball back toward the center line, teamate red runs for the ball, slaps
the ball further towards the line and the ball crosses the center line,
team red is the first to touch the ball in the back court. Violation?

It is nothing, as I would not consider a slap of the ball team control. No violation and play on.

Peace

We'll Get Timmy Out Of The Abandoned Well Later ...

This is more important. This is a job for the Mythbusters. If we keep working hard enough, we'll eventually get accepted into the Justice League of America. We hope that they still have our application on file.

During a throwin, even under a team’s own basket, if the throwin is deflected, tipped, or batted by an offensive player in the frontcourt to an offensive player in the backcourt; or after a missed field goal attempt or a missed foul shot attempt, if the ball is deflected, tipped, or batted by an offensive player in the frontcourt to an offensive player in the backcourt; these are not a backcourt violations.

Agreed. Since there was no team control once the shot was in the air, and a bat of the ball never constitutes possession, team control in the front court was not established. Team A is entitled to gain possession in their backcourt, with a new 10-second count.
