NBA POE's

I know some on the Forum don't care for the NBA, but there's some interesting stuff here:

New points of emphasis in NBA officiating ? USATODAY.com

Tenths of a second on the 24 sec clock when it goes under 5 secs.

They even discuss traveling, low post contact, etc........

The real important interpretation from all this is on rip through move...it almost became a go to move for an offensive player when a defensive player was too close and wasn't vertical with his arms. The tenths of a second on the shot clock will be useful to officials in knowing if a catch and shoot is possible...but I'm assuming with .2 or less, not allowing officials to go to replay to determine if a shot was good or not.

Should also add that the magic number on the shot clock for an 8 second violation now will be 15 instead of 16 with thew way shot clocks count down (required now since tenths are shown under 5 seconds).
