Correctable Error?
V shooting 1 and 1, officials both indicate properly.
First shot misses, players don't move and ball ends up landing in H1's hands. Table, assuming we're shooting two, hits the horn for a sub and T hits his whistle. T wants to go C.E. and use the arrow. L insists it's not C.E. and the ball should go back to H for a throw in. |

I don't really see the IW. If I was the T I would probably hit my whistle too...to wake everyone up, bring the sub in and have H throw the ball in.
Would you just let the players be confused, the horn sound and do nothing? |
The correct shooter attempted all the free throws that were actually merited at the correct basket, and then the game was stopped while one team had control. So what's the error?
|
L prevailed, but T insisted he was right. It was a blowout with about 45 seconds left, and H had the arrow anyway, so T didn't press.
|
Not paying attention is not a correctable error.

It's possible that the T was thinking of the case book play 8.6.1, official provides erroneous info. In that play, however, the official announces 2 shots when in fact it was a 1 and 1.

Unless everyone is confused and stops play, go ahead and kill it. If someone manages to keep playing...well I havent seen this happen yet but play on.
