Confused

Can someone read the NFHS case book 2.10.1 situation E and let me know if they see a problem with this, in reference to the new team control rule?

SNIPERBBB Tue Nov 15, 2011 06:49pm

That's interesting...apparently they didnt update the Correctable Error part of the case book to reflect the changes.

It's the same caseplay as in last year's book. Evidently, the ruling was not updated in this year's book to reflect the new rule change.

Good to know that it wasnt just me.

If only there was some foresight of potential "issues" with this change!

I know, right?

Anyway, eventually someone at the NFHS braintrust will get the bright idea to go to the corresponding case book numbers every time they change a rule and update the cases too. See, there's this nifty correlation between rule numbers and case book numbers...

Shall I email Mary Struckhoff. ROFLMAO!! :D

Better yet I will email Hank Zaborniak, Jr., at the OhioHSAA immediately.

P.S. For those of you who do not know, Hank Zaborniak, Jr., is an Assistant Commissioner of the OhioHSAA, and is the current Chairman of the NFHS Basketball Rules Committee. He is also a former member of the Wood Co. Bkb. Off. Assn. I have just sent Hank an email regarding this situation. For those that would like to keep appraised of this situation, just PM with your name and address and I will forward you a copy of our email correspondence concerning this matter.

Might be trailing the play on this fastbreak ... but you will post here on the short story to this puzzle in a conundrum, won't you, Mark?

How about getting him to look at how they screwed up 9-9-1 as compared to 9.9.1C, too? I emailed our state office but hit a brick wall.

Update.

There are three times of the school year when the OhioHSAA staff is slow in answering correspondence: (1) the end of the football playoffs; (2) the end of the basketball playoffs; and (3) the end of the baseball and softball playoffs.

The OhioHSAA football playoffs are a five week affair and this weekend is the third week of the playoffs. Therefore, I do not expect a replay from the Hank Zaborniak, until after the playoffs are over.

Mark, this may be the most words you've ever used to say absolutely nothing

And, yet, somehow you continue to trick us into reading such posts. Fool me once. Shame on you. Fool me dozens of times. I'm a real idiot.
