I commonly have what you could call bad dreams that involve officiating. They are usually about missing a game or being late or forgetting some equipment. This is not unusual for many.

Peace

Hoping it IS a nightmare:

That queezy feeling you get if you pull up to an empty parking lot and darkened school!

Good idea.

I keep losing my needle. It must fall out of the pocket, and it's too small to notice that it has. Does anyone attach his/her needle to a lanyard (or similar) to make it less likley to lose?

I've only had to use my needler/pump a couple of times over the yrs. I keep them in the original packing material in my bag. If I have to jog back to the locker room to retireve them for use, I find that better than not having it because I lost it.

Just me.

But, agree, it's good to have.

As for whistles - I'm a Senior Official in several Rec Leagues. I carry about 10 whistles with me at all times just in case one of my junior officials "forgets."

I have at least three Fox 40's WITH mouthguard for me too. Keep em clean and never bit throough one of em.

80% (swag) of the time I need to take air out of the ball.

I've never had to add air in 16 years.

I had 1 or 2 games last year where I was the R and *didn't* take air out.

I had one game where the ball was on the flat side. I got another ball to use rather than put air in it (I don't carry a pump for basketball anyway).
