lets say your shooting a layup or finger roll lay up and they hit the portion of the had that is not incontact with the ball?

or after the release they are still in contact with the hand?

I think it all depends on the severity of the contact & the previous calls in similar situations. As WE all know, mere contact does not constitute a foul.

If the initial contact isn't a foul, lingering contact isn't likely to change that. If the contact turns into a hold, however....
