Handoff = OOB ?

On the inbound, player A1 hands the ball to teammate A2 instead of throwing the ball.

OOB?

No, it's a throw-in violation.

I'd have a violation. The book states that "The ball shall be PASSED by the thrower..." (NFHS 9-2-2).

Definition of pass: "...movement of the ball caused by a player who throws, bats, or rolls the ball to another player."

Since a handoff is not, by rule, a pass, the provisions of a legal throw-in have not been met.

It's most definitely a throw-in violation.

It is a throw-in violation, but the result is the same. You are going to put the ball where the violation took place.

Peace

OOB?
This is a violation if A1 is out of bounds and A2 is in-bounds. If A2 is also out of bounds, this hand-off is legal only after a made or awarded basket.

Twists And Turns ???

How about a handoff from inbounder A1, who's hands are on the inbounds side of the boundary line, to defensive player B1, in other words, B1 just grabs the ball out of A1's hands?

That would be legal robbery.

What if A1 just drops the ball inbounds on the court?

That would be 100% legal, provided that the floor becomes designated as "another player." If such designation does not take place, I'd have a violation.

Inbounds side: Legal
OOB side: Technical foul against defender.
Starts inbounds and continues OOB, two sets of hands on ball: Held ball. (Bonus point, does the arrow switch if it's an APTI)?

For what? Consider the "drop" to be a pass.

Does the inbounding player touch the ball first after it touches the court inbounds?
