NCAA Men's Official Going to Women's Camp

Starting my second year NCAA DIII on the men's side. I've been invited to an upcoming "get ready for the season camp" but it's put on by a women's assignor. Many say getting on the court and working games will only help you out with experience, but others also say that you should pick one or the other in terms or men and women and I was wondering if going to the women's camp could potentially come back and hurt me somehow or anything I should do to prevent that from happening?

It could. That all depends on who you work for. No one here can really answer that for sure unless they know all the parties involved.

Peace

In that case is it something I should potentially let one or both of the assignors involved know/ask them about it?

Who invited you, maybe that's the first place to start. Find out what the clinic is about and possibly how you fit in the equation.

My short email would be:

"Hey, Mr. Assignor. I'm looking to get some work in to sharpen up before the season, but the only camp I can find is XYZ camp which is geared to Women's officials. Do you think that would be a help to me, or should I pass?"

In talking to all parties involved the answer was don't go. Thanks for the help.
