Last year we had a contest among the board on ESPN.com with their bracket challenge. Not sure who won last year but you can search for ESPN challenge and find it I'm sure :) I have set up a group called StripesRus with a password of 2003. Get registered and get your brackets filled out, I'm looking forward to defending my title.

Juulie - why don't you put together your own brackets for the NCAA Chickball tournament?

Dan -- You really need to get a life!! I've got a TON of work you could do at the little after-school program my church runs. We need paint, reading tutoring and someone to take the kids to the park on sunny days. You can e-mail me privately!

Juulie - since we're in Portland, this means those poor kids never get to go to the park. Maybe you can show them pictures of a park.

Oh, no, they go to the park on rainy days, too. We just can't find any volunteers to take them so the paid staff do it. Kids raised in Oregon DON"T care about a little rain!

Mike Burns Tue Mar 18, 2003 03:15pm

Im in.

I don't know how the rest of you feel about the seeding this year, but I think the committee must have been tossing back a few "brown-pops" while they were completing the brackets this year...Az, Ks, Duke, and ILL in the West?!?! And Indiana, a 7 seed?!?! Forget about it, how did Indiana GET IN the Tournament? One final observation. I'll take SYR and the "home court" all the way to the Final Four...lol :)

http://www.stopstart.freeserve.co.uk/smilie/boohoo.gif Guys ;) you don’t get that much rain. Ever live in New Orleans with its 64 inches a year? Heck, even my new home town outside of DC gets more rain than you do.

It's not about inches but hours/days. Yes, you get 64" per year while we get about 35".

However, you get it in buckets at a time with lots of sunny days in the middle while the Pacific NW gets it as a nearly constant drizzle from late October through April or May.

As I like to say: It only rains once per year here. It starts in October and stops in May. :)

Surely you mean the WOMEN and not the men. :D

Nevadaref Wed Mar 19, 2003 07:02am

I can't see the picks of the other members of the group. If this is the way it is intended, then this is a really bad feature of the ESPN system. :(

ChuckElias Wed Mar 19, 2003 08:16am

Nevada, any member can change his/her picks until the first game tips off on Thursday. So they don't want people peeking at other people's brackets and then making changes to their own. Once the picks "lock" and no more changes can be made, you'll be able to see everybody's picks.

Chuck

Yes it was for the woman. As for the men, don’t count them short. They are a good team at times but they can’t handle physical teams like the Maroons.

What is the group name so I can join up my bracket to the rest of you guys'?

Jeremy Hohn Thu Mar 20, 2003 12:15am

nevermind.....read the first post ref....

Nevadaref Sat Mar 22, 2003 03:36am

I believe ESPN has made an error. I think everyone is 10 pts short on their first round scores. Check your's and see.

Jeremy Hohn Sat Mar 22, 2003 03:49am

Heck, I can't even get on the website to check my ranking!

I looked at it last night and saw that Maryland was not yet added.

Nevadaref Sat Mar 22, 2003 08:02am

The problem is that people are not getting the 10 pts of credit for picking Maryland. If you look at your bracket they are not showing up in green yet.
Someone at ESPN still can't believe that shot went in!
