Adult rec game- ball was being contested under the basket when it was tipped (hard) and went up the basket, and then down again.

It may have peeked out the top an inch or two, or just below. If that matters.

I called nothing- play continued- and one of the players told me that it was a violation.

If so, on whom? AP?

Depends on who hit it up there?

Violation on the last player to touch the ball only if the ball goes all the way through from the bottom.If it doesn't go all the way through from below,no call and you keep playing.

Thank you for the prompt answer, I can always count on the forum to save me from paging through the rule/case book:)

(that was sarcasm- I understand that paging through the rule book is important)

BTW, what's the mechanic?:) Toilet bowl:)???

Probably just whistle, point to hoop, and point a direction and inbounds spot?
