San Diego section Divison 2 finals for the boys had a catch and shoot situation to end the game last night.

There was only .5 seconds on the clock. Is that enough time to catch an inbounded ball, in the air, plant both feet, jump and shoot?

Is there a specific amount of time where it is deemed impossible to catch and shoot?

0.3 or less it must be a tap. 0.5 is legal if it left his hand before the horn. At least under the NFHS rule, I believe that NCAA is the same.

I find that having a competent partner, who's watching the ball at the buzzer, to be invaluable...also helps if he's bigger than the assistant coach to set a pick so you can get in the lockerroom (:{)} (Does that look like me? Nod your head to the left)
