Eighth grade game, tiny gym with thin sidelines. B1 is on the free throw line, the ball in hand. Home cheerleader (C1?) drops a hair bead or something and promptly throws herself onto the floor in the lane to recover it as B1 shoots. Free throw missed, disconcertion call, substitute throw. Coach didn't like it of course, so I asked him if he'd rather have a T for too many players. Anybody else with one like that? Other ideas for a call?

Its a cheerleader, 8th grade game. I saw blow the whistle tell her next time a cheerleader much less touches the endline they're all gunna have to find a place to sit and have the kid reshoot the free throws. Not the rules I know bnuts its only jr. high .... no one really knows any better

I agree with Ace. Using NFHS rules you can always invoke Rule 2 Section 3: the referee may rule on anything which is not specifically covered in the rules. This rule gives you a lot of authority...and responsibility...so use it wisely.

Cheerleader in the lane before the shot was released, shoot again. Don't make a deal out of it. Cheeleader is already embarrassed and you don't need her crying out there.

Cheerleader in the lane after the ball is released,(shot missed), use alternating possession on your whistle.
