Seems like there's more to the story than we get to read...
|
There has got to be much more going on in this situation than is being coveyed in this story. I know I would have applauded the coach for being upset with a player for taunting or showing off like that.
|
If this was a two-man crew, it's highly possible that the refs didn't see the taunting. Lead's busting his butt to get down the court, and trail is on the ball. I'm not sure even a 3-man crew is going to see it.
|
The article does not say if a T was called on the taunting player or not.
It sounds to me like the issue is the action of the coaches in the locker room at halftime. There are certainly alot of details that we don't know, but I don't know that a T would have prevented the actions in the locker room if the coach was that upset. |
on the surface...
Thumbs up for the coach for attempting to keep players in check and for not publicly defending himself to parents criticizing his disciplining methods.
Also, to the supporters who came out en masse...reminds me of Hoosiers: "...coach goes, I go. He stays, I play." |
